We hope you are enjoying your summer. It’s hard to believe school will be in full swing in just another week or two! We have been hard at work planning some great activities for you to complete your summer vacation. Take a look…
• August Classes and Events
Make sure to check out Take Hold’s calendar at www.takeholdballroom.com. There are lots of classes, workshops and dances this month. See what’s going on now….
• Tenderfoot Dance – Saturday, August 9th 7:30-10pm
Back by popular demand is our Tenderfoot Dance! For all you beginners out there, this is the event for you. We feature two 45 minute classes followed by an hour party to practice each dance you have just learned. This evening's dances will be Tango and Cha Cha. Admission is only $12.
• Tango Bohemia Milonga – Friday, August 15th 9pm-1am
Join Tango Bohemia at their monthly milonga, Friday, August 15th. This is a great venue to practice your Argentine Tango. The party will start at 9pm and go til 1am with Angel Montero DJ-ing the party. Complimentary wine and refreshments are provided. Feel free to bring your favorite wine if you wish.
• Styling & Spinning Salsa Workshop – Saturday, August 16th 2:30pm
Don’t miss an opportunity to learn from the best in this Styling and Spinning 101 workshop with Dan Wilson, Kassandra and Jimmy Rumba. You will see both LA and NY choreography and styling in this three hour session. Purchase in advance at www.takeholdballroom.com to save $5.
• Salsa Jam – Saturday, August 16th 8:30pm -2am
Jimmy Rumba’s monthly salsa party (Salsa Jam) is Saturday, August 16th. Join the crowd for some serious salsa dancing and hot music. As always, there will be a class at 8:30 with the party following. You can check out www.jimmyrumba.com to get all the details!
• Dance City Ballroom Monthly Party – Saturday, August 23rd 8pm – 11pm
Don’t forget to stop in for DCB’s monthly party, August 23rd. Lenn will teach a Texas Two-Step class at 8pm followed by a great ballroom party at 9pm. There will be yummy food and lots of dancing.
